DECAdance unconvention

DECAdance is a dance competition and "un"convention touring the Northeast and Mid-Atlantic, built around a simple idea: celebrate the artists and the families who love them. Season Eight runs from October 2026 through National Finals in Wilmington, Delaware in July 2027. The "un"convention is the part that sets DECAdance apart. Instead of a weekend of choreography, dancers get live music paired with genre: ballet with live accompaniment, African dance with live drumming, plus Bollywood, Latin, jazz and a dedicated musicality class. Faculty teach take-home technique rather than a routine, and industry breakout sessions push dancers outside what they already do well. The competition season covers solo, duo and trio events, regional weekends across New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, Connecticut, Massachusetts, Rhode Island, New Hampshire, Maryland, Virginia and Delaware, and finishes at National Finals.
